Through ACS, Steven is involved in high-level scientific research in primary heart disease prevention under the guidance of one of Australia’s top researchers Associate Professor Nitesh Nerlekar.

In addition to being a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), Steven has various roles and affiliations in the organisation. He is:
A member of the New Fellows Committee (Victoria), providing support, advocacy, mentorship and facilitation of personal development and career/professional guidance for new Fellows
A college representative to the Victorian Agency for Health Information (VAHI - a division of the Victorian Department of Health), examining heart disease outcomes data
A member of the Post Vocational Education Committee, advising on strategy and direction for the CPD program for specialist GPs

Advocacy & Health Promotion
Steven is a Clinical Vaccination Champion for the Victorian Department of Health COVID-19 Vaccination program, and contributes to various news media outlets as a health expert and advocate.
Steven is a regular guest on Phoenix InfoNews programs, providing expert commentary on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic. Phoenix InfoNews Channel is the first 24-hour Mandarin-language foreign satellite television channel providing the latest news on international affairs and financial developments for Chinese communities worldwide.
Education
Steven is an educational supervisor and medical educator for Eastern Victoria GP Training (EVGPT) - a regional training organisation offering quality education and training programs throughout Victoria, equipping doctors-in-training with the skills required to progress towards becoming Specialist General Practitioners.
Advisory
Steven is a clinical advisor to HealthCoached and its parent company The Health Outcomes Company. HealthCoached is the home of highly qualified HCANZA accredited health coaching professionals, who support patients through recommended lifestyle changes in order to achieve better long term health outcomes.
Steven is a clinical advisor to More Good Days, a digitally delivered psychology-based pain management program for fibromyalgia. The program combines technology, evidence-based treatment and personalised support from registered psychologists.
Clinical
Steven consults as a preventative health specialist for HeartChecks, a dedicated provider of private and corporate preventative heart health assessments.
Steven also consults from Mount Waverley Clinic, where most of his regular patients are residents of his own local community. He is not currently taking on any new patients at this location.
